Keynote Speaker Kevin Brogan - National Residential Auction Market Commentator, CORE LOGIC

Kevin is the National Residential Auction Market Commentator for CoreLogic, providing comment and analysis of Capital City and regional auction markets for print, radio and television media.  He provides regular comments to the Australian, Financial Review and on the Your Money channel.   In his role, Kevin also liaises with major lenders, valuation firms, mortgage insurers and the Australian Property Institute (API) in resolving issues and drafting advice in relation to residential mortgage security valuations.

 

Kevin is the Residential Strategy Seat on the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Governing Council and is also Chair of the API South Australian Committee.

Adrain Hart: Associate Director: BIS Oxford Economics

Adrian Hart is a Senior Economist with nearly 20 years of experience undertaking and overseeing research into Australian economic conditions, with expert knowledge of the infrastructure (particularly transport and utilities), building, maintenance and mining industries.

Adrian is an Associate Director of BIS Oxford Economics, responsible for managing and delivering deeper consulting, research and forecasting exercises related to Australia’s construction, maintenance and mining industries and utilising BIS Oxford Economics’ full suite of modelling and forecasting expertise.

Mark Sargent, Senior Associate, Spiire Australia

Mark is a Licensed Surveyor and Senior Associate at Spiire Australia, with 25 years’ experience in the property industry.  Mark has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Australia and is a member of the Institution of Surveyors Victoria.

 

He joined Spiire’s Shepparton office in 2000 and uses a wide range of surveying applications and project management skills in his work in the Northern Victoria and Southern New South Wales regions. Mark leads a technology review group with Spiire which reports to the company board on new and replacement survey technology purchases.

Mark currently holds senior community leadership positions as both finance committee chair with the Notre Dame College Board, and as District Commissioner with Scouts Victoria.

Clay Riddle: Senior Structural Engineer: Arup

Clay Riddle has a track record in delivery of iconic structures in the Building design sector, in particular Civic Architecture and Sports facility Design. He has key skills in Parametric Design, complex Steel Structures, multi-disciplinary coordination, application of openBIM, and implementation of Digital workflows.

Arup, with offices throughout the continent, is an independent firm of designers, planners, engineers, consultants and technical specialists, working across every aspect of today’s built environment. 

Mark Harvey - Digital Engineering Manager, Inland Rail, ARTC

The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) is one of Australia’s largest rail network owners, operating and managing over 8,500 kilometres of standard gauge track in South Australia, Victoria, Western Australia, New South Wales and Queensland. ARTC plays a critical role in the transport supply chain and in the overall economic development of Australia.

Mark Harvey is the Digital Engineering Manager for the Inland Rail Project, part of the extensive team responsible for the delivery of this major project. 

Phil McClure; General Manager, Infrastructure Investment Division, Department of Infrastructure, Regional Development and Cities

Phil McClure leads the Investment Advisory Branch within the Infrastructure Investment Division of the Department.  

The Infrastructure Investment Division has responsibility for the administration of the Infrastructure Investment Program, the Australian Government’s major road and rail investment program.  The Program funds the majority of the Commonwealth’s $75 billion investment in land transport infrastructure currently being delivered in partnership with state, territory and local governments across Australia.

Anne-Marie Rice: Director and Principal Mediator from Rice Dispute Resolution

Anne-Marie is a problem solver, peace maker and educator having honed her technical and negotiation skills in the most highly charged of legal fields – family law. She is a highly sought after mediator and legal representative and is recognised by her peers as one of the best in her field. 

 

Adopting a philosophy that “conflict can be resolved without combat” her acceptance speech after being named the 2018 WLAQ Leneen Ford AC Woman Lawyer of the Year, in which she spoke of the exhaustion of an aggressive approach to legal practice, became an industry and social media sensation.    

Richard Cirillo : CEO and Director, TAYLORS

Richard Cirillo is the CEO of TAYLORS, a multi-disciplinary organisation with a team of over 150 professionals, including town planners, urban designers, architects, landscape architects, civil engineers, licensed surveyors, field surveyors, drafts people, project managers and development strategists.  

 

He provides leadership to key business areas of Corporate, Finance, Operations and Business Development. Setting direction, aligning the team to the strategic plan, enabling Executive Managers to be their best and focusing on the delivery of the business outputs to clients.

Dr Glenn Campbell: Senior Lecturer in Surveying, University of Southern Queensland

Dr Glenn Campbell is a Senior Lecturer in Surveying and the University of Southern Queensland with over 15 years of teaching experience.  His research interests include remote sensing water quality, cadastral surveying and titling processes. 

 

As a teacher of land and cadastral law, Glenn is well-equipped to discuss adverse possession legislation.
